Season information

New Season Information 2022 - 2023

The season begins September 7th, 2022 and ends Sunday, April 2, 2023. There will be competition, coming soon, stay tune. 

Registration Dates

Wednesday Sept 7, 2022 at the Dorval Arena: 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

N.B.  There will be an additional charge of $35 for each NSF payment.

Refund Policy

Fees of $70 are non-refundable after the start of the season. Ice/ Program fees  are refundable at 50% if request is done prior to December 31, 2022. After this date, no refunds will be made. All requests must be made in writing to Dorval Figure Skating Club.

Ice Rental and Conditions of Membership

  • All test skaters should check with their coaches for the requested sessions.
  • It is suggested that all juniors and intermediates register for a minimum of two sessions of freestyle, and seniors for a minimum of three sessions of freestyle.
  • All changes to a skater’s schedule after the start of the season must be made in writing to the committee.

Single sessions can be purchased as follows:

  Session of 1 hour or less Session of 1 hour or more
Home Club Skaters $10 $12
2nd Club Skaters $10 $12
Non-Members $12 $14

 

Skaters are required to pay for the session at the music box before skating. There will be no exceptions.

Skating Levels

  • Junior: Private, semi-private or group lessons with a maximum of four skaters.  For skaters Star 3 and below.
  • Intermediate: For skaters who have completed their Star 3 test as of August 31, 2022.
  • Senior: For skaters who have completed their Senior Bronze (Star 6) test as of August 31, 2022.

General Information

  • Behaviour:  Consideration of other skaters on the ice is both good manners and a safety measure.
  • Clothing / Hair :  Skirt, dress or skating pants, tights. No jeans or wide legged pants. No belly shirts. Mitts or gloves are mandatory. Hair must be tied back while skating.
